EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently seeking Adjunct and Full-time Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate students online in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy & International Relations and Film Studies. Faculty will be responsible for instructing students online and by phone according to program objectives and course syllabi.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop lesson plans to include instructional aids.
- Teach material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule.
- Assist students through online discussions and by telephone in achieving completion objectives.
- Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students relative to their performance.
- Exercise and insures students' proper online decorum to effect a positive learning environment.
- Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process, including
but not limited to class discussions, discussion threads, outside assignments, research, enrichment activities, etc.
- Maintain and reports student grades and participation.
- Complete professional development and in-service activities in accordance with school standards.
- Advise students on matters related to their enrollment status.
- Participate in department curriculum implementation and development meetings; recommends improvements in curriculum design.
- Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Dean.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified candidates must possess at a minimum, relevant Masters/JD or PhD degree with previous post-secondary experience teaching courses in the relevant fields.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing
- Ability to perform moderate to complex computer functions using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Explorer, Internet browser, Outlook Exchange, and web search engines
- Demonstrate proper "Netiquette"
- Certification with ecollege in on-line teaching helpful; provided other appointees are trainable.
